All eyes will be on Wall St. in New York when it begins trading in a couple of hours time to see how it reacts to the rate cuts. Earlier, Asian stock markets accelerated their downward slide. Japan's Nikkei index lost around nine percent of its value. This was one of the worst single-day losses in the history of Asia's biggest stock market, surpassing even the slump that followed the September 11 attacks in the United States in 2001.
