1101: "Welcome to the house of Uefa," says our host David Taylor, general secretary of Uefa. Thanks very much!
1056: "Re 1038: We went to the Uefa HQ and pulled up outside the front doors. The kids jumped out, pulled the sort of faces 10-year-olds do, and I took a picture. Into the car and gone. Take that Blatter."
Martin from Leam via text on 81111
It's Platini's house surely, not Blatter's
1053: I was going to try to explain the seedings in simple language, but I honestly don't get it. Anyone else? I can tell you that teams from the same country can't face each other...
1050: Lots of people wondering how Spurs have ended up as top seeds... Uefa's explanation is clear: "The Uefa team ranking is computed by the sum of 5 coefficients in the last 5 years. See the team ranking of 2008 for an example of such a ranking list. In this list the yellow lines with country information indicate the lowest possible value for a team of that country (even if that team didn't play any game in the last five years). The most recent team ranking is used for seeding of clubs for draws in the Champions League and the Uefa Cup." Got that?
1046: "Re 1038: I've been to Nyon! It's very pretty, on the shores of Lake Geneva, Irish pub in the town although not a lot else - and the most expensive taxis in the world."

1044: "Villa fan here. Don't care who we get, but it's got to involve Ajax. Please Uefa god. Thursday til Sunday in the Dam. Life won't get much better."

Fan of tulips, Tony?
1038: So this draw, as do so many, takes place in Nyon, Switzerland. At the behest of my colleague, I'm asking if anyone has ever been to this mysterious town? Is it worth a weekend break? What's the night life like?
1036: "Hoping for a nice easyjet (other airlines are available) flight to Milan, Valencia or Copenhagen."
Jolly in Bristol, via text on 81111
1033: "BUT HOW DOES IT WORK?" I hear you cry. Well, lovely readers, we'll have groups of five. Each team plays two opponents away and two at home, then the top three qualify for the next knockout round. I know, the top three. It hardly seems worth bothering. The bottom two will be entered into the Zenith Data Systems Cup.
1028: "I have a feeling that one of the English teams will draw Standard Liege (who are a decent outfit). Can just see it coming!"

1020: I knew there was a reason I woke up before the alarm went off this morning... it's the flipping draw for the Uefa Cup group stage! Massive.
