North Korea's state news agency says the country's reclusive leader Kim Jong Il has watched a university football game and congratulated the winning team.
The Korean Central News Agency did not specifically state when and in what manner he made the appearance, which would be his first in nearly two months. US and South Korean officials said last month that Kim suffered a stroke and underwent brain surgery, but Pyongyang has denied he was ill.
