A Deutsche Telekom spokesperson was quoted as saying that data belonging to customers of its T-Mobile unit was stolen early in 2006. The company said it had immediately reported the theft to state prosecutors in the city of Bonn as well as federal investigators. Last week, they brought the theft to the attention of the Interior Ministry in Berlin. The stolen information reportedly includes customer mobile phone numbers, addresses, and in some cases e-mail addresses.
