US Republican Senator John McCain will attend a presidential debate with his White House rival Barack Obama, his campaign has announced.
"We are going to the debate," said one of his advisers, Nicolle Wallace.
Mr McCain had said earlier that he would not participate in the debate until a deal was reached on a rescue package for the financial crisis.
Mr Obama has said the head-to-head would show voters which candidate would better handle "this mess".
