The European Commission has pledged 500 million euros in EU aid to rebuild Kosovo's struggling economy at the start of an international donors conference in Brussels that hopes to raise 1.5 billion euros.
The US has promised 300 million euros while the German government, the second largest source of foreign aid to Kosovo, is to provide 100 million euros.
