Iraq and Turkey have agreed to boost strategic and economic ties between the two countries.
The announcement was made following talks between Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan his Iraqi counterpart, Nuri al-Maliki, in Baghdad. DW boss voices concern about press freedoms ... strained by Kurdish PKK rebels who use bases in northern Iraq to launch attacks into neighbouring Turkey.
