The Hamas administration of Gaza has arrested two militants who fired rockets into southern Israel.
It is the first such detention since Hamas reached a truce agreement with Israel, promising to halt rocket fire in return for an end to Israeli attacks. The arrested militants belong to the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. The militant Palestinian faction said it launched the attack after one of its members was shot by Israeli forces while approaching the border with Israel. The Hamas-Israeli truce came into effect around three weeks ago and has held despite isolated rocket attacks.
