China says six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear programme will resume in Bejing this week for the first time in nine months.
The talks scheduled for July 10 come after North Korea delivered a long-overdue declaration of its nuclear activities and blew up a cooling tower of its key reactor site last month. Participants in the talks include China, Japan, Russia, the US and the two Koreas. The envoys will discuss the next phase of actions required in the process to end North Korea's nuclear activities.
