The two men severely beat a 76-year old man last December on the Munich subway, after he told them they couldn't smoke there. Serkan Aksu, a Turkish national, was 20-years-old at the time and Spyridon L., a Greek national, was 17. The incident was caught on security camera, and the footage provoked one conservative state premiere, in the midst of an election campaign, to call for tougher action against foreign-born juvenile criminals.
