A spokesperson for foreign policy chief Javier Solana said the EU was inclined to respond favourably to Iran's latest offer to resolve its nuclear dispute with the west. On Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki sent Solana his country's response to an international offer of economic incentives to suspend uranium enrichment. The response is not believed to include an offer to halt uranium enrichment, which western countries fear could be used to build nuclear weapons.
