German police have raided a cheese factory in southern Germany suspected of having sold rotten produce, and connected to a similar case in Italy.
The raid comes a day after Italian police in the northern city of Cremona uncovered large amounts of rotting cheese which was being mixed in with fresh produce and sold throughout Europe. German police said they took food samples from the factory in Woringen for laboratory testing, and that the results would be known in the middle of next week.
