04.07.2008 - Most Czechs indifferent to Czech EU presidency - poll
Some three-fourths of Czechs show no interest in the issue, while only 22 percent of those polled do.
The results are similar to the poll conducted in April.
The Czech Republic will assume the six-month presidency, now held by France, on January 1, 2009.
Most Czechs agreed they have scant information on the issue.
As far as the duties arising from the presidency are concerned, lack of information was declared by 74 percent of Czechs.
About 79 percent of Czechs feel lack of information on the government's preparations and 83 percent on the individuals who are involved in them.
A mere 15 percent are of the view that the information is sufficient.
