Speaking to Easy Living magazine, she said: "It's difficult to age with dignity in the pop business, but I'd like to think I've managed it so far."
She began her career as an actress in Australian children's series Skyways and The Henderson Kids before securing the role of feisty mechanic Charlene Mitchell in soap opera Neighbours.
Since embarking on her pop career Minogue has continued to reinvent herself.
In May the pop star received France's highest cultural honour, the Order of Arts and Letters.
