A DC-9 aircraft has crashed into a residential area shortly after take-off in eastern Congo.
There are unconfirmed reports that at least 70 people were killed. It is not clear how many people were aboard the aircraft at the time. The plane was believed to be heading from Goma to the capital Kinshasa. The Democratic Republic of Congo has one of the world's worst aviation safety records. There were eight plane crashes in the country last year.
